Heineken Open to air on Sky TV
The 2012 Heineken Open will be broadcast on Sky TV, Auckland Tennis announced this week. All centre court matches will be screened live and without interruption from the start of play at 1pm each until the play ends each day. Prime will then air daily highlights as part of the coverage.
'We know New Zealand is a strong sports viewing nation and this is supported by the fact that Sky is now available in nearly 50 per cent of our homes," said Auckland Tennis chief executive Robyn Kiddle. ''For the first time in the history of these international tournaments, we are able to offer complete and uninterrupted coverage of all centre court games.''
Both the men’s Heineken Open and women’s ASB Classic will be screened on Sky TV for at least the next five years.
